Jade Yurick, Creator of Gold Leaf Calligraphy “I draw inspiration from love stories I hear from the newly engaged and seasoned married couples. Having eloped myself, I enjoy celebrating unique stories and providing reminders of a cherished love. I don’t have many keepsakes from my wedding day so I want to help others remember their special day with custom lettering and watercolor designs. I use their story to influence my artistic elements and fashion a glimpse into happily ever after. In a digital era, a piece of paper is a throwback to when each piece was handled with care and devotion. Just as each love is filled with little imperfections, so is a handmade piece of art.” Jade Yurick was born on an Army Base in California and traveled the world. She followed her heart to Ohio in 2004. Where she now lives with her husband, two children and her dog, Spike. She has taken Fine Arts classes from the University of Akron but continues her studies self-taught in Graphic Design and Calligraphy. She uses traditional dip pen and ink for her Copperplate and Modern Calligraphy.
